Visit to Aran Islands

This trip started in a weired way. My debit card is good for nothing normaly. its not accepted on any online payment site. I found a site, that says book your ferry tickets to Aran islands. I tried it, assured that it will fail, and 'walla' it went through. Now i had book my entire trip around the ticket. So booked a bus ticket to Galway, from there another bus to the ferry terminal. Saturday morning 5 am, i am off to the Aran islands. It was sea sick on the ferry, but once i was sure footed on the island, it was a marvelous experience. The island has a population of 800 people, its 15 miles length and 3 mile width was short and sweet. I hired a bike and started exploring the few key places on the island. it seems in the entire country of Ireland, this is the only place where the native Irish language is spoken regularly and hence persevered. There were ruins of some ancient celtic forts, that dates back to 250 BC. The stone walls were facinating. The nature offered me fresh juicy black currants so i never went hungry. Stayed overnight and explored the dangerous cliffs. I was the only soul walking around and i was scared by the thunderous roar of the waves lashing the cliff side. I kept speaking aloud to myself. In another word, i kept my self engaged with myself. breath taking views and natures freshness i still feel if I just close my eyes and image what i saw sitting at the cliff edge.
