Irish National History Museum

This museum is close to the pheonix park. It was huge millitary barrack. very Minute one steps into the campus you get the earry feeling of a millitary presence. The museum displays a very rich Irish history. All the battles they have been to. For a long time they have been at that;700 years. it shows various artifacts about WW1 and WW2. The 1919 Irish freedom struggle. I spent two hours in there and i got a good idea of how unique identity the Irish have got for themself. Irish immigrants who were part of armies of other countries like french and English had a special category called the Irish Regiments, thats how unique they were. Enjoyed going to the place and look forward to find more such palces. The bridge you see in the picture is the one I took to get to the Museum and its been holding up since 1858!!. The first two pictures you see are of the struggle from starvation and injustice. Reminds me of the Schindlers list. But its a marvelous peice of art.It talks to you if you stare at it, look longer at it and you would feel injustice at the back of your neck trying to choke you.

  2. Good stuff, contents nicely balanced with pics helping in retaining interest, especially for appalling readers like me :). Pics are squeezing the text a bit; better if can be arranged in rows of contents embedded with snaps.
