Visit to Howth

I have two new characters to introduce to you all. His name is Mr.Silverfix a.k.a Silver and Her name is Miss.Nikon a.k.a Nikki. They both have a good friend Mr.Badri a.k.a badri. Silver and Niki wanted to explore the north side of dublin and along with badri they went out for a long ride.22kms one way. There was 10 kms of very good cycle track. First stop was the ancient Howth castle. A private property in the middle of a golf course. Then they stopped at the Howth Piers. Its a small fishing town. Niki was lucky to spot a quite a few Manatees. At the near by gardens many school teams were practicing music. I bet it they were preparing for some competition. Back in the city they spotted a giant Cruice shipe. THe Crown Princess.950 feet in length and 16 storeys high. "Massive". It was a fun sunday for all three of them.

Stopclimatechaos

It was an event that was staged by a group who are fighting for Ireland to step up and participate actively in the deal is due to be signed by the world leaders at a summit in Copenhagen. I took part in it, by holding up a blue peice of paper which was the front cover of one of the tabloid's yesterday. It was fun. Spent two hours on the beach on a bright sunny saturday.
This even was covered by the RTE and another telivision channel. I am glad that I got a chance to be here. There is a video as well, please see http://www.stopclimatechaos.ie/

Visit to Paris

Since the day I have been to Dublin, my eyes have been towards Paris. When the weather was great, decided to head down to the worlds most Romantic city. Got a visa and headed to the airport on a friday evening straight from work. After a little drama in the airport, (read it as me letting the plane with all passengers aboard waiting for 8 minutes) reached Paris at 1am.I was a bit anxious as I was in a city totally not familiar wondering how to get to my hostel. Looked into the not so dark sky and a beam of light kilometers long sweeping across was like the feeling of poping an asprin after a sever head ache.I was close to the Eiffelt tower. The METRO rains were running and I somehow found the route to the hostel. The accomodation as top notch.Breakfast served and free internet.
Day one in paris started off early, headed out to .hhmmm....you know where. There was wedding photographs taken at the base of the Iconic landmark. Stood in the queue for 1 hour and got a ticket to 3rd floor, thats' the top!! Fantastic weather allows us to see 72kms it seems. Beautiful city.I could actually mark the places I wanted to go from up there. I took a one day ticket on a hon on and hopp off boat ride, which did go to important places along the river side. The Notter damn,The Paris Orelans musuem,De louvre museum, The Hotel de ville(town hall), Garande Jardin(gardens). Till late night 12 I was in the city, reached Hostel back at 1 am.
Day two started at 9 am, went to the lovoure museum which took four hours for me to cover 40%.Went to the dome church and headed back to Hostel by 4.Took a one hour nap and headed out again to see how Paris looks by night.Went to the Grand Arche and the Louvre museum and got back at 12am again.
Day three first thing in the morning, took the first train to Euro Disney.Amazing place but surprisingly no water theme rides here. The rides that you would normally feel is for children actually is more than that, it's got the power to tranform you back to a child and make you eleigible for it.I did ride on a few roller coasters; nothing as massive and gravity defiying as the ones in US.Hollywood studios was fantastic. A group of cheerful teenagers were singing and dancing to the tunes of 'High School Musical'.Witnessed an exploding semi followed by a dam burst spilling out 200,000 liters of water to douse the flames. My only recomendation is go to Euro Disney with your loved one. If you dont have one you might be just fine. But if you have found the love of your life then every moment you end up thinking about him/her. There were times when I thought I wanted to get out of the places when I saw other cheerful couples and families having three times more fun than me on the same ride.
The Climax was dramatic, headed back to the Maillot to get the bus to the airport, but no Busses at 12 am again headed back to the Hostel where I had checked out earlier that morning. paid another 25€ and took a 4 hour nap there to get up at 4:30 and catch the first train out. I got back to "home away from home" base at 11am straight into office and realised that I forgot to bring one thing back from Paris.ooopppsss... My thoughts were still there, just my body was in front of the PC. Took me two full days to realise that I am in Dublin. Thats' Paris for me!
